xPaintClass-1.0 Update 5 RC2 released!
Posted on Monday 18 August 2008 - 16:50:34 by Andymon
Ok, not really a RC2 since i have added a cool new feature!
Added:
  1. ...TooltipLabel LABELNAME ".nomove" TIMEOUT
If set, the normal module tooltip is replaced by a xLabel with this "LABELNAME". Make sure you have normally created the label, additionally you should use the settings "StartHidden" and maybe AutoWidth/HeightMode. Except from that you can do anything with the "tooltip label".
If ".nomove" is set, the label doesn't pop up at the tooltip position, so you can position it where you want.
TIMEOUT specifies (in milliseconds) the time the label stays visible after the tooltip should be hidden (So you can actually click the tooltip label to trigger actions). Default is 1000.

You can simply use the same label for ALL tooltips, if you use:
GlobalTooltipLabel ...

  1. ...TooltipBalloon [TITLE(string)] [ICON(int)] ["TRUE"/"FALSE"]

If the last value is set to "TRUE", a "Close Button" is displayed on the tooltip (just as a visual effect!).

You can download the RC2 here

Please try this version (overwrite BOTH versions LiteStepDir and ModuleDir with this version) and report all problems.
I will release xPC Update 5 at Sunday! So if you don't want bugs for a longer time report them quick

I know most of the ppl use ad blocking, but we would be pleased if you could click from time to time some ad's. it's not for our own pocket, just for paying the space we run.
thanks in advance

xLabel-4.2 released!!
Posted on Friday 08 August 2008 - 17:08:35 by Andymon
Another version of xLabel with mostly fixes for some rather seldom happening bugs.
The "new" features of this version are:
...HoverText
in normal labels and in OverlayLabels. You don't need OnEnter and OnLeave actions anymore!
(Btw: Hover and Pressed states are builtin in xLabel, that means for all Texture AND Text settings the "Hover" and "Pressed" prefixes allow you to setup a totally different look in every label.)
...TrackingIgnoreTrueTransparency
allows mouse clicks in "fully" transparent areas (even with enabled AlphaMap!)

You can download xLabel-4.2 here

Clickonic 1.1 Released
Posted on Thursday 31 July 2008 - 22:01:30 by Andymon
This is a pretty major update, so I'm not going to bother posting the entire changelog here. You'll have to check out the documentation for that , but here's a list of the major new features and changes
  • Support for the selection rectangle and system menu.
  • Clickonic will paint it's own window if xDesk, jDesk, or etc isn't loaded.
  • Clickonic shows infotips now.
  • Support for hiding My Documents, My Computer, My Network Places, The Recycle Bin, and Internet Explorer based on windows preferences.
  • Support for saving icon positions into a file instead of into the registry.
  • Repositioning bangs and support for "toggle" on all on/off bangs.
  • A bunch of bug fixes
You can get it here or through NetLoadModule.

SLI-ModuleManager v2.0 released!
Posted on Wednesday 30 July 2008 - 17:00:34 by Andymon
You want to know what modules are online available?
You don't know what's happening in your module folder?

-> SLI-ModuleManager will tell you "everything" you need to know!

Features:
Support for every online, local and archived module that is available for LiteStep!
Batch downloading (into module archive, custom folder or direct installation).
Uninstalling of modules.
Support of all current and future online module repositories.
Some infos about recommended modules for themeing (mostly my own )
Links to the basic themeing tutorials at xDocs.LS-Universe.info

Requirements:
(An LiteStep installation, which uses NetLoadModule (OTS2), standard since 2003)
An older LiteStep module, which will be downloaded, if you don't already have it.
Just allow the download via NetLoadModule after the first start of SLI-ModuleManager and it will never bother you again.

Installation:
Extract the content of the zip-archive in your LiteStep utilities folder. (But you can use any other folder too.)

What is missing?
Well, an explanation what the different modules actually will do!
You only have the name of the module to guess its purpose.

-> Download it and look in the ReadMe of the module, if you want more informations.

You can download SLI-ModuleManager v2.0 here

@Tobbe:
I would appreciate it, if you could add SLI-ModuleManager and the module settingsipc-1.0.0.1 in the next version of LOSI.
